Meet Julie.
Julie is a registered social worker with a Master of Social Work from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from York University. Her decade-long career in dance education has fostered a deep appreciation for the mind–body connection and its role in the healing journey—a foundation that continues to shape her therapeutic practice.
Julie works with youth, teens, families, and adults, drawing on approaches such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), mindfulness, and positive psychology. She supports clients experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, OCD, perfectionism, ADHD, school avoidance and challenges with emotional regulation. Her practice is holistic, trauma-informed, and tailored to the unique needs of each individual and family.
Julie is highly experienced in working with individuals in high-performance athletic settings. With a unique blend of clinical training as a Registered Social Worker and lived experience as a dancer with a BFA in dance, Julie understands the mental and physical demands of competitive sport and performance. She offers practical, accessible strategies that athletes can apply in training, competition, and daily life to strengthen personal well-being and support long-term success.
At the heart of Julie’s work is a commitment to building safe, meaningful therapeutic relationships. She collaborates with clients to clarify their goals, cultivate resilience, and develop the skills needed to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and balance.
