FAQs

Therapeutic & Clinical Services

  • If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or not quite like yourself, therapy can help. Whether you're dealing with stress, negative thoughts, relationship challenges, or just need space to talk things through, you don’t have to figure it out alone. If you're unsure, starting with a conversation with a mental health professional is always a good step.

  • Yes, legally therapists are bound by confidentiality rules, ensuring that everything you discuss remains private, with a few legal exceptions (e.g., threat of harm to self or others).

  • We take matching seriously because the right fit makes all the difference. After you complete our intake form, our Client Care Coordinator reviews your needs and recommends the best next step. Most clients begin with our 360 Discovery Assessment — a one-time, 50-minute session with a therapist designed to explore your goals, clarify what kind of support is best, and create a personalized care plan. From there, we match you with the practitioner who’s the best fit for your needs, preferences, and schedule.

  • If you don’t connect with your therapist, it's important to discuss your concerns or seek a different practitioner to ensure a positive therapeutic experience. Ultimately, it’s about finding the fit and connection for you to receive the support you need. Reach out to admin@straightuphealth.ca for the next step.

  • Therapy and coaching rates depend on the practitioner, typically ranging from $200 to $250 per full session. A full session is 50 minutes.

  • Yes, you can access therapy without insurance.

*Note: Payment options may vary depending on the practitioner.

  • No, we do not offer direct billing to insurance. At the end of every session, the client is emailed a detailed receipt which they can use to submit if they have private insurance.

  • Many insurance companies provide health benefits covering mental health services by Registered Social Workers (RSW), Psychotherapists (RP) and Nutritionists. We recommend speaking to your insurance provider just to confirm your coverage.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our Care Coordinator at admin@straightuphealth.ca.

They focus on specific areas like ADHD support, academic and executive functioning coaching, nutrition, sleep, and career exploration — helping clients build practical tools, healthy habits, and long-term resilience.
